13th Addis International Film Festival 2019

The 13th Addis International Film Festival 2019 returns on 30th April - 5th May 2019.

The 13th edition of AIFF, Human Rights Week; over 50 documentaries and short films; Four workshops and International directors for Q&A.

THEME: Social Justice, Identity and Cultural Diversity

To celebrate our 13th anniversary we have arranged screening of over 60 films in the following venues; at Addis Ababa in five venues (Italian Cultural Institute, Alliance Ethio FranÇaise, Vamdas Entertainment, Hager Fekere, and National Archives and Library Agency) as well as in regional capitals: Hawassa, Gondor, Adama and Bahir Dar.

This year’s compelling line-up of insightful documentaries deals with Social justice, identity and cultural diversity. The theme of 13th Edition of AIFF is ‘Social Justice, Identity and Cultural Diversity” we aim to put the spotlight on issues like discrimination due to gender, religion & race, unfair labour practices, ethnicity and different topics that are socially relevant.
