1:54 Contemporary African Art Fair 2015 - 15-18.10.15

The second edition 1:54 contemporary African Art Fair, which will be held in London between the 15-18 October 2015.

1:54 is a platform for galleries, artists, curators, art centres and museums involved in African and Africa related projects and aims to promote art by established and emerging talents amongst an international audience.

1:54 is initiated by market developer Touria El Glaoui under the auspice of Art Africa Ltd. Designed by Rashid-Ali, 1:54 will be held at Somerset House, a historic building and major cultural arts centre in the heart of London.

1:54 Contemporary African Art Fair will also host FORUM, October 15–18, as a critical four-day conversations series comprising artist talks, panel discussions and film screenings curated by Koyo Kouoh, Artistic Director of RAW Material Company.

Selected exhibitors for London will hail from a multitude of geographies including South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, Kenya, Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Zimbabwe, France, Italy, Germany, the UK, and the USA. In addition to these territories, 1:54 welcomes new additions from Spain, Sweden, Benin, and Angola.

1:54 is a high-quality event which will showcase a limited number of 25-30 carefully selected galleries.
