Urban Village Fete is a FREE event taking place in Greenwich Peninsula – one of the capital’s most exciting new districts, set to become ‘London’s ultimate village’ – celebrating the best in design, music, art, innovative events and modern craftsmanship.
Urban Village Fete features range of curated designer marketplaces, street food, design hubs, artist interventions, diverse and quirky events, art and design workshops, walkabout entertainment, music, dance classes and unique pop-ups.
Here are the African inspired brands taking part:
London based CHiCHiA will be selling their East African khanga inspired collections at the Urban village fete. Collaborating with new fashion label 3blackgirls, Chichia will be stocking a range of dresses, skirts, tops, jumpsuits, and T-shirts, as well as fabrics.
Personal style and expression is at the heart of Toghal, who re-interpret traditional African textiles into stunning bespoke homeware.
Not your usual home and gifts company, MAHIKA team up with non-profit organisations across Asia and Africa to source beautiful, bright handmade pieces and provide local craftspeople, especially women, a reliable and fair income.
