Africa Writes, The Royal African Society's annual literature and book festival in association with The British Library, returns for a third year. Taking place from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 July.
A panel of experts discuss the business of publishing genre fiction in Africa, covering crime, romance, sci-fi, children’s and young adult fiction. Featuring Bibi Bakare of Cassava Republic Press; Valerie Brandes of Jacaranda Books; Verna Wilkins of Tamarind Books and Susan Yearwood, agent and founder of Susan Yearwood Literary Agency. Moderated by Margaret Busby, editor, writer, critic and co-founder of Allison & Busby.
