ASNI captures the life of one of Ethiopia's great female cultural icon, actress and krar playing Asnaketch Worku. The launch event and screening of this documentary takes please at the National Theater, where many Ethiopians would have gone to see Asnaketch Worku perform. The documentary looks through conversation with Asnaketch Worku herself before she passed and other great Ethiopian artists who would have know her.
Directed by Rachel Samuel who states; 'I feel this documentary film has historical value to anyone interested in understanding the music and theater tradition of Ethiopia through the eyes of an astounding personality such as Asnaketch Worku'. Asnaketch Worku passed away aged 78 in September 2011.
