When Prada previewed their spring and summer SS2014 campaign there seemed to be some excitement behind one of the featured models. Why all the excitement you ask?
French born Congolese/Italian model Cindy Bruna happened to be Prada's third model of colour to be featured in one of their campaigns. The second was Kenyan born UK model Malaika Firth featured in their Fall 2013 campaign. And the first was Naomi Campbell way back in 1994.
We suppose it's long over due but many of these labels will need to consider and look to diversity for their future campaigns.
Do we care or does it even matter, what are your thoughts?
