Diaspora Forum - "Building a Bridge for Unity"

The London Ethiopian Embassy invite all Ethiopians in the UK are invited to attend a Diaspora forum held under the theme "Building a Bridge for Unity".

Following the Prime Minister’s successful working visits to North America and Europe last year, it is to be remembered that he called upon the Ethiopian Diaspora, during a series of discussions, to play a constructive role in the root and branch reforms being pursued by his administration.

Accordingly, the Ethiopian Embassy in London cordially invites all members of the Ethiopian community in the United Kingdom to an open forum held, in the spirit of togetherness, to foster greater peace and unity within the Diaspora.

AIMS

• To build a bridge for peace and unity across the divides of hate within our communities to enable us to reach a consensus on how best each of us can contribute to the transformational changes taking place in Ethiopia.

• To enhance the Diaspora’s contribution to initiatives for peace, love and unity taking place in Ethiopia.

• To debate how best to respond to the Prime Minister’s call for the Diaspora to contribute to the Ethiopian Diaspora Trust Fund (EDTF).

• To hold an open discussion on the improved services being offered to the Diaspora by the Embassy and the current state of affairs in Ethiopia.

All members of the Ethiopian community in the United Kingdom are urged to attend.
