Who will win the battle with the East African runners to take the title of Virgin Money London Marathon 2014 winner? The battle begins this morning with the perfect weather and set against the beautiful London setting, as the runners go head to head. East African runners and UK's hopeful Mo Farrah will be battling to complete the 26.2 miles race in record time. Against stiff competition with Kipsang (who holds some of the best times), Kebede (former Berlin, New ork and Boston winner), and Mutai. With a special appearance by Ethiopian champion Haile Gebrselassie as pace maker for the Elite Men's race.
Dibaba of Ethiopia is still my favourite to win the the women's race, though she faces stiff competition from the greats such as Kiplagat (two time world champion over 26.2 mile distance race) and Jeptoo (2013 London and New York Marathon winner).
Below are the Elite runners (including bib numbers) taking part in todays run. Who do you have your money on to win let us know?
