The Ethiopian Diaspora Trust Fund Call For Project Proposals 2019
The Ethiopian Diaspora Trust Fund is pleased to announce the first ‘Call for Project Proposals’ under the theme ‘Ethiopian Diaspora – Partnership to Improve Social and Economic Wellbeing of Ethiopians in Need’. A total of 4,000,000 USD generously donated by more than 24,100 Ethiopians from 77 countries who responded to the national call of ‘1 dollar a day for a better Ethiopia’ will be invested under this call to finance projects that will alleviate critical problems of Ethiopians in need.
Legally registered nongovernmental organizations, civil society organisations, private sector companies and government institutions that fulfil the basic eligibility criteria set by EDTF can submit projects proposals until 16 September 2019 17:00hrs East African Time.
Projects submitted to EDTF will be reviewed by a panel of experts in accordance with the EDTF project selection criteria and scoring system. Projects recommended for funding by the review panel will be presented for the final approval of the EDTF Board of Directors. The Ethiopian Diaspora Trust fund invites legally registered nongovernmental organizations, civil society organizations, private sector companies, and government institutions from all corners of Ethiopia to submit their projects and to partner with EDTF for a better Ethiopia.

17 September – 05 November 2019: Review of project proposals
15 November 2019: Presentation of selected projects for EDTF Board of Directors’ approval
18 November 2019: Announcement of projects selected for EDTF grant
25 November 2019: Signing project implementation contracts with grantees
