To mark the final day ofthe exhibition, Ablade Glover: 80th Anniversary, October Gallery, London, will present Episode 4, from the six-part contemporary arts series, African Masters. Produced by The Africa Channel, African Masters is the first ever series to feature contemporary African artists, curators and commentators from Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Benin, Kenya, South Africa, France, the UK and the USA.
In the Studio Sessions episode, we go behind the scenes with world-renowned artists, Ablade Glover and El Anatsui, visiting their studios in Ghana and in Nigeria. Ablade Glover captures the energy of Ghanaian life in dramatic oil paintings, while El Anatsui explains how his opulent wall-hangings and installation works are created from bottle-tops bound together with copper wire.
