Afomia Tesfaye is one of many entrepreneurial Ethiopian Diasporas returned home to start up their own business. Afomia is one of the budding designers coming out of Ethiopia with her eclectic FOMI COLLECTION, a luxury women’s handbag and shoes company manufactured entirely in Ethiopia. Below are images of the latest collection for 2014.
One of Afomia aims for starting her label was to create a fashion company that could be both ethical and yet produce luxury goods from Africa while capitalizing on the nations rich craftsmanship and knowledge of leather manufacturing.
The Spring and Summer 2014 FOMI Collection is modeled by South Sudanese model and actress Kuoth Wiel and features a range of leather handbags and footwear from hot pinks, greens and yellow.
