The 24th European Film Festival - 13-31.05.15

The European Film Festival, Kenya’s longest running film festival will celebrate its 24th edition this year. The Festival will present interesting and engaging European films which remain a welcome and refreshing break from the predominantly Hollywood narratives seen on Kenyan cinema screens.

In recent years, the identity of European cinema has been evolving with local, national and global influences shaping the esthetics. Besides enriching, educating and entertaining both local and international audiences in Kenya, present-day European cinema play an important role as source of inspiration and novelty for the burgeoning class of young film professionals in Kenya. The Festival is organized under the auspices of the European Union delegation in Kenya with between 15 to 16 European countries present in Kenya participating in the Festival.
