Ethiopian New Year Festival is the annual Ethiopian cultural festival at Nicholson Street Mall in Footscray. It will radiate with the sights, sounds and smells of Ethiopian culture. The festival has been organised by Ethiopian Community Association in Victoria since 2006 to introduce Ethiopian culture to the wider community also it is an opportunity for Ethiopians to express and embrace their culture and identity and to express their gratitude to the Australian community for embracing multiculturalism. All aspects of Ethiopian culture will be on display throughout the Festival including traditional music, dance, art, and history. There will also be entertainment for the kids, circus acts, and spiritual blessings by Ethiopian churches, coffee ceremonies and more.
