UK Summer Somali Festival 2015

Aar Maanta in Association with Horn Promotions Proudly Presents: UK Summer – Somali Festival 2015. Following the success of last year #SomFest2015 is back and it’s taking place on Bank Holiday Sunday 24th of May 2015. #SomFest2015 will be promoting and highlighting Somali art and talent.

The line-up includes: 

Autumn Sharif: Singer, songwriter and the Voice UK quarter finalist will perform songs from her upcoming EP 

Jamal Osman:  Multi award-winning journalist and filmmaker who works with ITN/Channel 4 News UK. We will be showing one of his documentaries, followed by a question and answer session. 

Amaal Said: Member of the Barbican Young Poets . Her work explores the idea of home and identity. Amaal will be performing some of her work followed by a question and an answer session. 

Aar Maanta: Following his sold out Minnesota (USA) shows Aar Maanta will be returning with his band to perform classics as well as new songs from his upcoming album 

Host: Baar Hersi - Her online show ‘Conversations to Inspire’ highlights the positives of the Somali community in her confident and laid back style. 

Show starts 8:30pm, no entry after 9:30pm.
