- FDC Young Designer Award USA is open to young USA fashion designers between 9-25 years
- FDC Emerging Designer Award is open to UK and USA Designers between ages 9-29 years
- Angelman Syndrome Awareness Award international designers of all ages (fashion for social good!)

FDC aims to present an international platform for dynamic young fashion designers who can find their niche as individuals and become a brand in their own right. The Aim of the Young Designer Awards and its related events is to increase the number and visibility of young and exceptionally gifted multi-cultural UK and USA Fashion designers and to encourage them to reach their true potential by rewarding those who excelled both creatively and academically.

The brief is to design and produce a mini collection or enter a current avant-garde collection; the prize is to be up for the opportunity to debut a collection in Vancouver Fashion Week.
